DESCRIPTION:The Apprenticeship Program of Facilities Management at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for its highly regarded Apprenticeship Program. For anyone who has been looking for a career in the trades\, this is the opportunity to do so while working as a full-time\, benefits-eligible employee of UVA. Training will consist of rotations in Facilities Management departments throughout the University\, including maintenance\, repair\, new construction\, utilities\, and industrial systems\, to equip apprentices with a broad range of skills to support University construction and maintenance needs. Apprentices are required to attend classes one or two nights a week while working full-time and must achieve grades of ‘B’ or better\, with mandatory attendance.Online applications will be accepted until April 29\, 2022. The candidates selected for hire will start work on mid-July\, 2022.
