Fatherhood Celebration – Charlottesville

Join the First Annual Fatherhood Celebration
Hosted by the Charlottesville Department of Social Services with community partners to intentionally bring our community together to create a meaningful experience for fathers, families, and youth throughout the community during VDSS Fatherhood Engagement Week.
What to expect
- Interactive activities for youth and families
- Informational materials for parents and caregivers
- Free food – Beverages and food will be provided BBQ-style: Hamburgers, hot dogs, mac & cheese, etc.
- Music
- Ice cream
- Bounce house
- Community resources and engagement opportunities
Location: Tonsler Park, 500 Cherry Ave, Charlottesville, VA
Event Time: 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
Prepare: Please wear cool attire appropriate for hot weather. We will be outdoors near the spray park, hoping for a hot summer day. A tentative rain date is planned for June 18, 2026, from 3:00-6:00pm.
