OPEN APPLICATION: UVA Facilities Management – Apprenticeship Program

The Apprenticeship Program of Facilities Management at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for its highly regarded Apprenticeship Program. For anyone who has been looking for a career in the trades, this is the opportunity to do so while working as a full-time, benefits-eligible employee of UVA.
 
Training will consist of rotations in Facilities Management departments throughout the University, including maintenance, repair, new construction, utilities, and industrial systems, to equip apprentices with a broad range of skills to support University construction and maintenance needs. Apprentices are required to attend classes one or two nights a week while working full-time and must achieve grades of ‘B’ or better, with mandatory attendance.

Online applications will be accepted until April 29, 2022. The candidates selected for hire will start work on mid-July, 2022. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent by that start date of the position. Selected candidates will pass a background check and a health screen.
