About the presenter: Sydney Shuler joined The Equity Center as its first communications specialist in June 2023. She came to Charlottesville in 2022 to provide well-rounded news coverage about the Charlottesville and Albemarle County communities with The Daily Progress newspaper in 2022. Since then, she has made Charlottesville home as a mentor with the UVA Women of Color, Honor and Ambition program. Her role at The Equity Center is focused on ensuring that the Equity Center’s message is one that aligns with and uplifts the work of its community partners.
