Virginia Career Works – Piedmont (VCWP) is proud to share our 2024-2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of transformative progress in workforce development across our 11-locality region.
Over the past year, VCWP empowered more than 5,172 individuals with the skills, training, and support needed to thrive in today’s workforce. Our programs continue to foster economic equity and build community wealth throughout the Piedmont region.

2024–2025 Highlights:
- Sector-Focused Career Pathways: Collaborated with six key industries to align training with employer needs.
- Community Engagement: Hosted hiring events, industry tours, and coalition meetings to ensure accessibility and inclusivity.
- Financial Stewardship: Maintained strong fiscal health with over $1.5 million in funding from federal, state, and local sources.
- Success Stories: Individuals like Caden, Peter, and Mary exemplify the life-changing impact of our programs.
- Strategic Growth: Achieved a 707% increase in credentials earned since 2019 and over 3,100 job placements in six years.
Our innovative services—including mobile career centers, career fairs, and the Ready to Work program—are designed to meet individuals where they are and guide them toward sustainable employment.
Looking ahead, VCWP is focused on expanding outreach, enhancing staff and partner training, and developing new resources to address workforce disparities. We remain grounded in our core values of unity, community, civility, grace, and respect.
