Virginia Career Works – Piedmont (VCWP) is proud to release its 2025–2026 Annual Report [pdf], showcasing another year of meaningful progress in workforce development across the organization’s 11-locality region.

Over the past year, VCWP served 5,623 individuals, providing career services, training opportunities, and supportive resources to help participants move toward sustainable employment and economic stability. The organization facilitated 333 job placements and supported individuals in earning 59 industry-recognized credentials, demonstrating continued progress in building a skilled workforce pipeline

Together, we are helping individuals move closer to stability, opportunity, and long-term success.”

2025-2026 Highlights:

  • Regional Reach: Served more than 5,600 individuals across all 11 localities, ensuring access to career services and supports in both urban and rural communities. 
  • Workforce Pathways: Delivered training and career services aligned with high-demand industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, IT, hospitality, and agribusiness.
  • Economic Mobility Initiatives: Expanded innovative programs like Jobs Plus at Westhaven, integrating workforce services with housing, food access, and supportive services to reduce barriers to employment.

VCWP continues to emphasize a holistic, community-based approach to workforce development, recognizing that employment success is shaped not only by skills and training, but also by access to essential supports like transportation, childcare, and food security.

Looking ahead, Virginia Career Works – Piedmont remains focused on expanding outreach, strengthening employer partnerships, and enhancing integrated service delivery to meet the evolving needs of the region’s workforce and economy.
