  • Deadline: Pre-Apprenticeship Application, Virginia School Food Specialist with the Chef Ann Foundation

    Interested in a career in school nutrition? The Chef Ann Foundation's Healthy School Food Pathway Pre-Apprenticeship is a paid, three-week program designed to prepare participants for careers in K-12 school food services. Participants will complete online coursework, earn a ServSafe® Food Handler Certification, participate in virtual learning, and gain hands-on experience with a participating school division. The program culminates in a job interview with the host school division. Participating divisions include Fauquier County Public Schools, Amherst County Public Schools, Alexandria City Public Schools, Prince Edward County Public Schools, Stafford County Public Schools, and Virginia Beach City Public Schools.

Join the Legal Aid Justice Center, the City of Charlottesville, and Albemarle County for an Expungement Clinic to learn whether eligible charges may be removed from your record and receive assistance with the expungement process.

Job-seekers and employers can meet one-on-one with a Mobile Resource Specialist at Nelson County Library. All services to the job seeker and employer are provided free of charge.
