National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) is a nationwide celebration where ApprenticeshipUSA partners - employers, apprentices and graduates, industry representatives, labor organizations, community-based organizations, workforce partners, educational institutions, and federal, state, and local government agencies and more - host events to showcase the successes and value of Registered Apprenticeship for strengthening our economy by developing a highly skilled workforce to meet industry needs and creating pathways for career seekers to catapult into in-demand jobs. The U.S. Department of Labor coordinates NAW in order to promote Registered Apprenticeship, in accordance with the National Apprenticeship Act

Virginia Career Works - Piedmont Region provides a wide variety of mobile, workforce services to both job seekers and employers. Job-seekers and employers can meet one-on-one with a Mobile Resource Specialist at Greene County Library. All services to the job seeker and employer are provided free of charge. |

Join us for the 2026 Central Region Block Party at Coffeewood Correctional Center, an impactful opportunity to engage directly with individuals preparing to return to communities across Charlottesville, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Albemarle, Greene, Madison, Orange, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford (Districts 9, 21, and 26). This event brings together motivated future employees, reentry‑focused organizations, and community partners committed to second chances and stronger local economies. Employers and resource providers are invited to participate, share job openings, showcase services, and help support justice‑impacted individuals as they prepare for successful reentry.

Free, on-site parking is available. This relaxed and engaging gathering is free and open to all, offering a rewarding morning of networking and community-building over complimentary coffee and refreshments. It’s our version of a laid-back, mini-job fair! Jobseekers are encouraged to bring a few copies of their résumé, while employers and organizations should bring business cards to share.
